Bulletin Module

The Bulletin module below allows you to display up to three modules at a time! There's no need for digging through CSS here. The configuration is an easy single line entry in our new template_config.php file.

Something Different for Joomla

Bulletin Module Pane

Easy to enable or disable, the stylish designer drop-down bulletin board module adds a nice "wow factor" to this design. Loaded with the User1, User2, and User3 modules, you can insert any text or image you like.

The bulletin module panel allows your users to collapse and expand the user1, user2 and user3 modules. These modules can be graphic images, icons or any text you wish - all of which are managed natively from the Joomla! back end administration.

Setting up the Bulletin Module

To enable the Bulletin module you must a.) enable it from the template parameters (see below). and b.) have a t least one module published in the user1, user2, or user3 position. To create a module for the bulletin module pane, just login to your Joomla! administration and go to Modules > Site Modules. Click the "New" button from the top toolbar and you will be presented with the editor where you can type any text or html of your preference.  Set the "position" name to user1, user2, or user3. You can set the pages that you want the module to appear from the "Pages/Items" parameter to the right.

Note: In order to keep balance in your module height, it is important to keep the number of lines and characters as close as possible. The same applies (in pixels) if you choose to insert images.

What module styles are available inside the panel?

The bulletin module panel is a single style wrapper which encapsulates up to 3 modules of your choice. There are no module class suffixes needed (or recommended) inside the bulletin panel area.

How do I customize the height, speed and other settings?

Vintage is included with an easy solution for this. Included in your download is a file named js_template_config.php. Open this file and you'll see various customizable settings which are self explanatory. If you're using Joomla! 1.5 you can manage these parameters directly within the Joomla! administration in the Template Manager. (Extensions -> Template Manager -> js_vintage_00x)

These settings can also be called in the URL for example, to set the height to 400px:

You could also disable the panel by adding:
http://demotemplates.joomlashack.com/vintage/index.php?cPanel=0
